New Prices on T8 and T5HO Vapor Proof High Bays

Posted April 28, 2010 at 3:17 pm by Ray De Varona

New Low Prices on Vapor Proof High Bay FixturesWe have just lowered our prices on all of our T8 and T5HO vapor proof high bay fixtures!  These fixtures provide excellent light output even in the harshest environments. The fiberglass reinforced polyester housing includes a closed cell poured polyurethane gasket that completely seals the fixture against humidity, dust, moisture penetration and corrosion. A clear acrylic lens is standard and an optional polycarbonate version is available for maximum impact resistance.  Both the T5HO version and the T8 version come with a standard 95% enhanced aluminum reflector that directs the light down and out of the fixture.  All internal components are easily accessible via a removable gear tray.

We have used this fixture to relight food processing plants, cold storage facilities and outdoor canopy areas in large industrial plants.  The minimum start temperature for the ballast is specified at -20 deg. F (-30 deg. C). and since the fixture is fully enclosed, it retains much of the lamp heat to allow the fluorescent lamps to operate closer to their maximum light output temperature.  For full product details on each of these fixtures, please follow the links below to the product page on our site.

As always, we would love to hear from you.  Feel free to call us at (888) 548-6387 or contact us via email if you would like to discuss your project in detail.  We would be happy to provide a custom lighting layout for your facility and help secure your lighting rebates and incentives.  There’s no telling how long we’ll be able to hold these prices so low, so don’t delay.

T5HO Fluorescent Lighting Video

Posted April 6, 2010 at 9:19 am by Ray De Varona

While doing some research last week, I bumped into this great video that was put together by the folks at ElectricTV.net.  I was surprised to see the logo of our sister site RelightWithT5.com towards the end, so I decided to reach out and ask if they would let us embed the video here.  It’s great to see all of the points we’ve been stressing about T5HO high bay lighting being repeated by a professional organization like NECA and IBEW.

ElectricTV.net is the on-line “Television network” of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and their contractors, The National Electrical Contractors Association. “E-TV” uploads 2 electrical based stories per month presenting new technologies, installations and project profiles.
