Multi-channel LED drivers power more than one independent LED circuit from a single driver unit, enabling dimming, color tuning, and color mixing across separate LED channels. They are the essential component in tunable white (CCT-adjustable) and RGBW lighting systems, where independent control of warm and cool LED channels or red, green, blue, and white channels allows precise adjustment of color temperature or color point. This makes them the standard specification for human-centric lighting, theatrical and hospitality accent lighting, and retail display systems.

When specifying a multi-channel driver, confirm the number of output channels, per-channel current and wattage ratings, compatible control protocols (0-10V per channel, DALI-2, DMX, Casambi, or proprietary), and total input wattage. Applications range from simple two-channel warm-dim systems to complex full-color RGB setups requiring 3- or 4-channel units. Power budgeting across all channels simultaneously is important to avoid overloading the driver at peak output.

For single-channel fixed-current applications, see Constant Current LED Drivers. For strip and tape LED systems running at 12V or 24V, Constant Voltage LED Drivers cover most strip loads. Browse the full LED Drivers lineup for all types. For transformer-based, low-flicker applications, our Magnetic Drivers are worth considering.
