T5HO high bay fixtures use high-output T5 fluorescent lamps to deliver strong lumen output in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers with ceiling heights between 15 and 30 feet. The T5HO lamp is compact relative to its output, which allows manufacturers to build slim, low-profile fixture housings while still achieving the high foot-candle levels that industrial applications require. These fixtures represent a mature fluorescent technology that remains in active use and in demand for replacement parts and ongoing upgrades.

Most T5HO high bays house between 4 and 8 lamps in reflector-backed troffers or open-housing designs. Reflector geometry plays a significant role in distribution efficiency, and fixtures with specular aluminum reflectors push more light to the floor with less fixture-level wattage. Electronic ballasts drive the lamps and should be specified for the correct lamp count and voltage before ordering. Confirm ballast factor requirements for your application, as high-ballast-factor units increase lumen output at the cost of higher energy draw.
